Swift Management Services Ltd were brought in as independent consultants. This was to help the owner make improvements to a learning disability service. After detailed analysis, production of action plans/recommendations and assistance through regular support visit the service is no longer considered a risk. Commissioners have recommended that the service engage our services for ongoing support for 18th months whilst changes are embedded into the culture.
Swift Management Services were commissioned by a new entrant to the market, who were purchasing their first care home, which was in special measures. We assisted them with obtaining registration for their company, recruiting an experienced manager and achieving CQC registration. The home is no longer in special measures. The owner writes 'Thank you so much for the help, support and guidance you have provided of the last 7/8 months. It has been an amazing journey. I appreciate everything you have done, not just for me, but for the residents and staff. Thank you'.
We were recently asked to undertake both a service user and staff satisfaction survey for a provider of supported living and residential care services. We worked with the board of directors to identify what areas were to be explored, and then produced and distributed the surveys. The surveys were to identify areas for improvement, but also highlight the great work that the provider was doing. We established a confidential mailbox for returning the surveys and subsequent analysis. Reports on the outcome were provided to the board within the agreed timescales and circulated to commissioners, staff, residents and relatives.
We are currently working with an independent provider of a 35 bedded home, who had recently received their CQC inspection report. During the inspection there were a number of areas which the inspector felt could be improved. We have assisted the provider to formulate Quarterly Action Plans, with clear goals, timescales, responsibilities and achievement dates to enable progress tracking. Not only are the commissioners updated on a regular basis, the residents, relatives and staff are aware of the plans, and are part of the process. The provider has also commissioned Swift Management Services Ltd to carry out unannounced CQC style inspections to check on progress.
A new provider of supported living is keen to establish its first service in a major city. They have commissioned Swift Management Services Ltd to assist them with establishing relationships with local commissioners of services to assess demand for the service including attending meetings, review potential properties, formulate local policies and procedures, recruit appropriate staff etc.
