Christopher Stringer is an experienced Health Care Executive. Christopher started his career as a nurse in 1988 & after qualifying undertaking post basic training in Operating Theatres. Christopher worked as a nurse within the NHS and Private Sector until 2000, after many senior clinical roles including managing Sterile Services, Operating Theatres and Day Surgery/Endoscopy. Within surgery Christopher has a keen interest in ophthalmology, orthopaedics and laparoscopic technique. Christopher moved into general management within the social care environment, managing and commissioning nursing services within the private sector, both for step down and long term settings. Within the Health and Social Care sector, Christopher has worked as a General Manager, Area Manager, Finance Director and more recently as a Chief Operating Officer of a National Charity. Christopher’s breadth of experience in the industry enables him to quickly understand the needs of the business he is working with. Christopher is an excellent communicator, with drive and passion to influence the teams he is working to achieve measurable results. Christopher is able to provide an all-round management service to operators within the private and voluntary Health Care Sector. Became a Freeman of the Guild of Nurses in 2019.

Robert York is an experienced Health Care Executive. Robert started his career as a nurse in 1986 & after qualifying undertaking post basic training in Intensive Care Nursing. Robert worked as a nurse within the NHS and Private Sector until 1999, after many senior clinical roles including managing several wards and departments within Acute Services including Cardio Thoracic Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Intensive Care and Coronary Care. Robert moved into General Management within the social care environment, managing and commissioning nursing and care services within the private sector. During his time within Health and Social Care, Robert has worked as a General Manager, Operations Director, Change Management Consultant and for the last ten years as a Chief Executive Officer of a National Charity. Working at every level with health and social care, has given Robert a very detailed knowledge of the industry, which enables him to quickly understand the needs of the business he is working with. Robert is an excellent communicator, with drive and commitment to influence the teams he is working with to make change happen. Combining both nursing and management skills with an extensive knowledge of regulation in England, Wales and Scotland Robert is able to provide an all-round management service to operators within the private and voluntary Health Care Sector. Became a Freeman of the Guild of Nurses in 2019.

Sharon Payne is a long-standing consultant with Swift Management Services and works within our rapid response and interim management team specialising in Elderly Care and Young Physical Disabiliites.

With 40 years of care home experience working from grass route level Sharon has a vast knowledge of the industry. A tier successfully working as a turnaround Registered Manager in a number of services and rapidly turning them around Sharon turned to consultancy and is one of our most highly recommended consultants in the field of Elderly and Young Physical Disability care.

Sharon undertakes long-term projects for us and works across the UK.

Sharon is able to provide professional, evidence-based and ethical advice to guide clients, ensuring that they are a high-quality, clinically safe, cost effective service, and that they will improve health and wellbeing which naturally improves their CQC rating.

Karen has joined the Swift Management Team to work as a specialist clinical governance consultant working within the Acute and Subacute Healthcare Sectors. Karen brings with her a vast experience from working at Director Level within the NHS.

Karen has over 40 years of experience in the public, private, charity and voluntary sector up to the level of Executive Director. Karen has significant skills in Corporate Governance, Quality Governance, Risk Management, CQC Assessment and the new Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).

Karen will work with clients to create a vision and strategy for quality governance so that the organisation can meet all their regulatory requirements, and assist clients to prepare for CQC inspection. 

Karen is passionate about safety and will enable the client to develop and maintain effective systems and processes for responding to patient safety incidents to ensure an improved patient safety culture.
 

Karen is a qualified Executive Coach and will use a coaching and mentoring style to assist services achieve their goals and a significant step change in performance that is lasting and effective. Karen has an excellent track record of assisting leaders through periods of transition and re-structuring. Karen is skilled at Service Transformation and will work with managers and senior clinicians to introduce service improvements

 

Jennifer is an Irish-trained nurse, now working in the UK for over 14 years after qualifying from Galway University. She has extensive experience in wound management, after a career that began with work in Plastics trauma and reconstruction, followed on by working in a specialist Plastics outpatients clinic which cared for an extensive range of wounds. Jennifer progressed to a role as a Tissue Viability Nurse, caring for complex wounds in the community and forming part of a nurse-leg leg ulcer management service. Within the same trust, Jennfier has succeeded this by working in different role as both an Infection Control Nurse, and the a Pressure Ulcer Prevention Nurse. She has also worked as a Clinical Practice Educator in an Acute trust.

Promoting good wound care is a clinical focus and passion for Jennifer, through teaching holistic care and how to understand the wound healing process. At present, she is working as an independent clinical trainer, as well as teaching nursing students at university level.

Following completion of an honours Bachelor of Science degree in general nursing, Jennfier has since completed many wound care courses, non-medical v150 prescribing and a post-graduate certificate in Infection Prevention and Control. Maintaining her own CPD and evidence-based practice is essential, so she regularly attend conferences and training days, as well as signing up to webinars and academic journals. Jennifer is keen to improve wound assessment standards and understanding around best practice.
