After a long journey delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic, we are delighted to celebrate the success of our client Fouracres Care Services. This rating is very well deserved as the home rapidly moved forward from a period of inadequate ratings.

The Swift Management Team became involved with the home to assist in the improvement process following the change of management at the home. We were permitted to liaise directly with the commission and the local authority.

Intensively working with the management team brought about the rapid improvements needed to improve standards and reassure the regulators. The management team committed to the programme and systematically worked through every issue.

The Swift Management team wrote a comprehensive action plan detailing the change plan and how the changes were going to be monitored in the future. We visited monthly, conducted several audits and updated the action plan. Copies of these documents were provided to the regulators to comply with the imposed conditions of registration and show the changes made or new challenges identified. This open and transparent approach went a long way to calm the situation.

The Covid-19 Pandemic meant the next inspection was delayed, but this did not deter the management team from moving even further forward. We worked with the team to develop new systems and governance processes.

We continue to support the home as retained consultants, meaning that we can work in partnership with the management team. We provide 24-hour advice and support, visit the home regularly to provide a governance report and coach the management team.

Since we started working with the team at Fouracres, they have built new bedrooms, successfully registered them, refurbished the building and provided additional communal space. A lot has been achieved whilst implementing an improvement plan. The future for the home is bright, and the partnership continues as the next ambition for the home is an Outstanding rating.
